Celebratory brunch in Silang

Yesterday, I had brunch at Casetta del Divino Zelo1 to celebrate M and J's birthdays. While I ate spaghetti alla puttanesca, they had ravioli and lasagna, respectively. We also tried some slices of prosciutto pizza and glasses of butterfly pea tea (infused with lemon and peppermint).

After finishing our delicious brunch, we walked towards Ilog Maria Honeybee Farm to check out some bee-themed souvenirs. Although we only visited the main shop, we were impressed at the farm's vastness that allow its local beehives to thrive. Also, we saw three dogs and two cats2 who consider that place as their nature-loving playground.

I am not sure if M and J bought something there, but I knew that they wanted a pack of bee pollen for skincare purposes. For me, I got two bars of beeswax soap (one scented with cinnamon and another with rosemary).

  2. Speaking of cats, I saw a pregnant queen with a defect in her left eye. I believe that she got possibly stung by a bee at some point... Anyway, she approached me with a nice headbutt.
